So… You and me, we’re the independent “march to the beat of our own drum” entrepreneur types…
You’re so independent + tenacious, you probably like to do EVERYTHING yourself—as much as possible. Especially if you’re a solopreneur like me. 😉
I totally get it. I’m a hands-on kind of gal, and I like having control over the details—doing things myself whenever possible, with only a few exceptions.
But I also know that, in order to grow the business + achieve the life we want—it’s essential to hire a professional service provider for certain things—to better leverage our time and resources, not to mention improve our quality of life.
For you, that might mean taking on full-time employees. Or maybe it means, hiring a cleaning service to keep your home + office neat and tidy. Or paying a virtual assistant to manage all those pesky administrative tasks, like email. Or hiring a graphic designer (like yours truly) to handle the creation and launch of your brand new website.
Whatever the case may be, here are four scenarios when hiring a pro can truly make your BIZ + LIFE better and easier…
Hire a Pro, and Take a Load Off
1 You just can’t do it. Maybe you don’t have the equipment, or the know-how, or it’s just not your thing in the first place. You could beat around the bush, secretly hoping you’ll “figure it out” someday…but that would throw a monkey wrench in your business growth, preventing you from moving forward. (Not good!) So bite the bullet, and hire an expert to do it for you.
2 You need higher quality, better service, more functionality, etc., than what you can do yourself. Maybe you’ve scraped by thus far (writing your own web copy, for example)…but your business is taking off now, and you need a copywriter to make your sales pages sing. That’s one less task you’ll have to wrangle yourself, and more completed sales to celebrate. Yay!
3 You hate the task in question(!!) Even if you’re naturally good at it + perfectly capable of handling it yourself—those things don’t mean squat if that task is causing you to resent your whole business. Just think how much happier and more joyful (and even productive, lucrative!) your work would be, if you paid someone else to take that pesky task off your hands!
4 You simply haven’t got the time. Business is booming, your life is busy-busy, and something’s gotta give. Now’s the time to pick out the task(s) or area(s) of business that you would most like to “get rid of”, and hire a capable other to whisk them out of your hands—so you know they’re being taken care of, and you can focus on the essential tasks that you’re best at + you enjoy most + and are the most beneficial to your bottom line.
To make your BIZ + LIFE easier: Be sure to look at which business tasks are weighing most heavily on you, which ones could be done faster + better by a pro, and which ones tend to encroach on your time—keeping you from doing more essential tasks.
Once you figure out which tasks to get rid of, you’ll know who best to hire to take those task(s) off your hands—and then you can focus your own time on the tasks that will take your business to the next level of growth and prosperity!
