Event Marketing: How to Seal the Deal!

Hello and welcome to the final installment in my April event marketing series! Today’s post is all about creative ways that you can “seal the deal” — in other words, how to get people to commit to attending your event. So far this month, you’ve learned to entice them with a story, spark their excitement, and woo them with a beautiful invitation. You’ve flirted with your invitees, and now it’s time to get serious!

Creative Ways to Seal the Deal

  • Direct them to a website or page dedicated to the event where they can RSVP, get more detailed information, see photos of the event location, and so on.
  • Sweeten the pot: Let people know that you’ll give a free gift to all your attendees, or that you’re having prize drawings at the event (and then follow through and make the gift/drawings worth it!).catered food
  • Tell them you’ll feed them! An event with food provided is much more enticing than an event where attendees have to buy (or bring) their own meal(s).

Use one of these ideas, or come up with your own tactic to move your invitees from “I’m interested” to “I’m coming!”. The trick is to know what it will take to get them to sign up, and then address that in your invitation.
