The term “graphic design” can mean different things to different people. The dictionary defines it broadly as “The practice or profession of designing print or electronic forms of visual information, as for an advertisement, publication, or website.” As you might imagine, there are many specialties under the umbrella of graphic design, such as: packaging design, illustration, print design, product label design, and interactive design.
So to help you understand which services I provide as a graphic designer, and consequently, how I can help you and/or your company communicate visually, here is a breakdown of the three main areas of my design practice:
This category includes mostly paper items: promotional materials for your business, such as business cards, postcards, brochures, flyers, pamphlets, and posters; as well as personal items like greeting cards and invitations. I also create artwork for novelty promotional items such as t-shirts, and coffee mugs. Whether your aim is to attract customers with coupon cards, or announce your wedding date to your friends and family, I can help you get your message across in a visually pleasing way.
My web design offerings include brochure websites for your small business, and graphics such as banner ads. The websites I create can include as few as one page to as many as 20, and are geared towards providing information to your current and/or prospective customers, in effect giving them a pleasing virtual “taste” of your company to win them over and retain their loyalty.
This includes logo design, as well as full branding – where I create a complete identity for your company, that is a visual representation of all that your company stands for. Branding packages can include any combination of items, though they most often incorporate logo, business card, and website design. Whichever combination you choose, my goal is to capture the essence of your company and the value you offer to your customers, and translate that into a cohesive visual identity that can be applied to all your marketing materials.
